Blinded learning

Blinded learning

hi all
this is my coment

The first generation of e-learning or Web-based learning
programs focused on presenting physical classroom-based
instructional content over the Internet. Furthermore, firstgeneration
e-learning (digitally delivered learning)
programs tended to be a repetition or compilation of online
versions of classroom-based courses. The experience
gained from the first-generation of e-learning, often riddled
with long sequences of ‘page-turner’ content and pointand-
click quizzes, is giving rise to the realization that a
single mode of instructional delivery may not provide
sufficient choices, engagement, social contact, relevance,
and context needed to facilitate successful learning and
performance.
In the second wave of e-learning, increasing numbers of
learning designers are experimenting with blended learning
models that combine various delivery modes. Anecdotal
evidence indicates that blended learning not only offers
more choices but also is more effective

Hi all =)

How r u ??

Today we gonna talk about

Blinded learning

Blended Learning is learning which combines online and face-to-face approaches. The following material resulted from an ANTA-funded project which set out to investigate blended learning through a series of interviews with teachers.

A blended learning approach can combine face-to-face instruction with computer-mediated instruction. It also applies science or IT activities with the assistance of educational technologies using computer, cellular or Smart phones, Satellite television channels, videoconferencing and other emerging electronic media. Learners and teachers work together to improve the quality of learning and teaching, the ultimate aim of blended learning being to provide realistic practical opportunities for learners and teachers to make learning independent, useful, sustainable and ever growing
Why we use the Blended Learning because students  need to benefit from technology seamlessly into the curriculum has become of paramount importance and they have an expectation of blended learning A vision of students today (YouTube video - opens in a new window)

Blended Learning Models
By Purnima Valiathan
The term blended learning is used to describe a solution that combines several different delivery methods, such as collaboration software, Web-based courses, EPSS, and knowledge management practices. Blended learning also is used to describe learning that mixes various event-based activities, including face-to-face classrooms, live e-learning, and self-paced learning. Unfortunately, there's no single formula that guarantees learning, but here are some guidelines from NIIT on how to order your learning activities.
NIIT categorizes blended learning into three models:
skill-driven learning, which combines self-paced learning with instructor or facilitator support to develop specific knowledge and skills
attitude-driven learning, which mixes various events and delivery media to develop specific behaviors
competency-driven learning, which blends performance support tools with knowledge management resources and mentoring to develop workplace competencies.

Safety internet and children

Saftey internet and children

Hi all

This is the most funny class we had
^^
Thank u teacher =)

.....

The Internet can be a wonderful resource for kids. They can use it to research school reports, communicate with teachers and other kids, and play interactive games. Kids who are old enough to punch in a few letters on the keyboard can literally access the world.

But that access can also pose hazards. For example, an 8-year-old might do an online search for "Lego." But with just one missed keystroke, the word "Legs"is entered instead, and the child may be directed to a slew of websites with a focus on legs — some of which may contain pornographic material.

Hello
These are tools to help protect children from the dangers of the Internet

Online tools are available that will let you control your kids' access to adult material and help protect them from Internet predators. No option is going to guarantee that they'll be kept away from 100% of the risks on the Internet. So it's important to be aware of your kids' computer activities and educate them about online risks.
Many Internet service providers (ISPs) provide parent-control options to block certain material from coming into a computer. You can also get software that helps block access to certain sites based on a "bad site" list that your ISP creates. Filtering programs can block sites from coming in and restrict personal information from being sent online. Other programs can monitor and track online activity. Also, make sure your kids create a screen name to protect their real identity.
Getting Involved in Kids' Online Activities
Aside from these tools, it's wise to take an active role in protecting your kids from Internet predators and sexually explicit materials online.
 To do that :
Become computer literate and learn how to block objectionable material.
Keep the computer in a common area, not in individual bedrooms, where you can watch and monitor its use.
Share an email account with your child so you can monitor messages.
Bookmark kids' favorite sites for easy access.
Spend time online together to teach your kids appropriate online behavior.
Forbid your child from entering private chat rooms; block them with safety features provided by your Internet service provider or with special filtering software. Be aware that posting messages to chat rooms reveals a user's email address to others.
Monitor your credit card and phone bills for unfamiliar account charges.
Find out what, if any, online protection is offered by your child's school, after-school center, friends' homes, or anyplace where kids could use a computer without your supervision.
Take your child seriously if he or she reports an uncomfortable online exchange.
Forward copies of obscene or threatening messages you or your kids get to your Internet service provider

hi all

Internet Child Safety

As most people know the internet can be an amazing resource and provide hours of fun for kids, but there is a side to the internet that can be worrying for any parent.

Chat rooms have been a main cause of concern for years, with adults posing as young children and chatting to unsuspecting kids, and in extreme cases trying to organise secret meetings with the child. Things are changing slowly and a lot of chat rooms are starting to monitor their sites more closely, but unfortunately not everyone is following suit.

Websites with explicit images are another problem that children may be exposed to, a few of these websites have a warning on their homepage alerting the user to the fact that the site contains this sort of material, but unfortunately not all of them.

Another major worry for a parent is spam email containing explicit images, most of this type of spam gets sent from countries where any type of law is not easily enforced and therefore the culprits can go on sending, hopefully one day we will see the end of this type of marketing but unfortunately at the moment it is here to stay.

There are things that can be done to protect your children from this type of exposure on the internet, and below we will cover a few of these things

My comment

Internet is concerned as a whole environment for people from all ages . It make the whole world as a small village . It has its advantages and disadvantages . It can be a wonderful in many different ways , getting researches for school  projects , communicating with others all over the world , playing interactive games . But this technology may become very dangerous for kids . when they chat with others  kids do not know it these people are good or bad . Also the websites are not the same . Some are good others are not . The interactive games may contain terror games these are dangerous for kids. So the parents must be aware of what their kids see , hear , need and play or the internet . The parents must talk with their kids about taking advantages of resources to protect them and keep a close eye on their activities ..
